Morzine
Morzine, in the Portes du Soleil area of Haute-Savoie, is about 1 h 15 from Geneva Airport, which makes it one of the easiest Alpine resorts to reach in both winter and summer. This article answers the questions travellers ask us most about the route: how the price works, whether a private car makes sense for two people, how to travel with mountain bikes and how to plan an early pick-up from your chalet for a morning flight.
How much is a transfer from Geneva Airport to Morzine?
The transfer from Geneva Airport to Morzine has a fixed price per vehicle, not per person. It is shown instantly in the booking form and on the Morzine destination page, before you pay. The price depends on the vehicle you choose:
| Vehicle | Capacity |
|---|---|
| Mercedes E-Class | 3 passengers, 3 bags |
| Mercedes S-Class | 3 passengers, 2 bags, VIP comfort |
| Mercedes V-Class | 7 passengers, 10 bags, room for skis |
| Mercedes Sprinter | up to 16 passengers |
The drive takes about 1 h 15 in normal conditions. The fixed price does not change with traffic, snow or a late flight: we track your flight number and waiting caused by a late flight is included. You pay online by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay and receive an e-mail confirmation straight away. Companies can receive an invoice.
What is included
- Meet and greet in the arrivals hall with a name board (Swiss sector, French sector on request).
- Help with luggage, skis and equipment.
- A direct drive to the door of your chalet, hotel or apartment, with no stops for other passengers.
- Winter tyres in the ski season and child seats or boosters on request.
Shared shuttle or private car to Morzine: is private worth it for two?
We do not run shared shuttles or buses to Morzine: every transfer is private, with the car and chauffeur reserved for your party only. For two people, the Mercedes E-Class is usually enough, and the vehicle price is split between you. Before choosing, compare what matters to you:
- Timing: a private car leaves when you land, with no waiting for other flights or passengers to gather.
- Route: you are driven straight to your own door, rather than to a central drop-off with other addresses on the way.
- Luggage: skis and bags are declared in advance, so there is room for them.
- Delays: if your flight is late, the chauffeur waits, and that waiting is included.
For two travellers with skis, the E-Class takes 3 bags; if you have more luggage or equipment, choose the V-Class. Enter your details in the booking form to see the fixed price for each vehicle and decide what suits your trip.
Can I travel to Morzine with mountain bikes in summer?
Yes, Morzine is a popular summer destination for mountain bikers, and bikes can travel with you. Please declare your mountain bikes or bike boxes when booking, with their number and size, so we can confirm a vehicle with enough space. The Mercedes V-Class van takes up to 7 passengers and 10 bags; for groups with several bikes, the Mercedes Sprinter may be needed.
Tips for travelling with bikes
- Pack bikes in a box or bag, as you would for the flight, and give approximate dimensions in the booking notes.
- Tell us the total number of riders, bikes and other bags, so the vehicle is planned for everything at once.
- Any conditions for carrying bikes are confirmed before your trip. If in doubt, contact us at contact@airportstransfers.ch before you book.
The drive to Morzine takes around 1 h 15, and the same applies on the way back to the airport at the end of your stay.
Can you pick us up from our Morzine chalet early in the morning for a flight?
Yes. Early pick-ups are no problem: we operate 24/7. The drive from Morzine to Geneva Airport takes about 1 h 15 in normal conditions. To set your pick-up time:
- Start from your flight's departure time and subtract the time your airline recommends for check-in and security.
- Subtract the drive time of about 1 h 15.
- Add a margin for snow, Saturday traffic in winter and traffic around the border and Geneva.
Enter your chalet address, flight number and departure time when booking, at least 12 hours ahead, and declare skis or bikes. The chauffeur comes to the chalet door, loads your luggage and drops you as close as allowed to departures. For changes, call or WhatsApp +41 78 346 56 77.
On the morning of departure
Have your luggage, skis or bikes ready by the door at the agreed time, and keep your phone switched on. The chauffeur arrives at the pick-up time shown in your confirmation and loads everything while you lock up the chalet. If you are running late or the weather looks bad overnight, call or WhatsApp the team so the pick-up can be reviewed. In heavy snow, the chauffeur adapts the speed to the road conditions, which is why the margin in step 3 matters.
Book both ways at once
You can book the arrival and the return in the same booking. If your departure flight changes during your stay, let us know by phone, WhatsApp or at contact@airportstransfers.ch and the pick-up time will be adjusted.
