How much is a private transfer from geneva airport
The price depends on your destination and the vehicle you choose (Mercedes E-Class, S-Class, V-Class or Sprinter). It is a fixed price per vehicle, not per person, and it is shown instantly in the booking form or on each destination page before you pay. It does not change with traffic or a late flight, since waiting caused by a delay is included. Enter your address and passengers to see the exact amount.
Do you charge extra for night transfers?
We operate 24/7, so early-morning and late-night transfers are part of our normal service. You do not need to calculate any surcharge yourself: enter your date and pick-up time in the booking form and the fixed price per vehicle for that exact journey is shown before you pay. What you see is what you pay. For a night arrival, add your flight number so we can track your flight and the chauffeur waits for you in the arrivals hall.
Is the tip included in the price?
Tips are not added to the online price. What you pay at booking is the fixed price per vehicle for your private transfer with a professional chauffeur, shown before payment and confirmed instantly by e-mail. Whether you leave a tip is your own decision. If you have any question about what the price covers, contact us by phone or WhatsApp on +41 78 346 56 77 or at contact@airportstransfers.ch.
How much should I tip a private driver in switzerland
Tipping is never required with AirportsTransfers.ch: you pay a fixed price per vehicle online before the trip, and nothing is collected by the chauffeur on the day. Whether you leave something extra for your driver is entirely your personal choice. If you have a question about this or want to thank your chauffeur in another way, you can simply contact us by phone or WhatsApp on +41 78 346 56 77.
Are motorway tolls and the Swiss vignette included?
Yes. The fixed price per vehicle shown before payment includes the chauffeur, fuel and the road costs of the route booked, such as French motorway tolls and the use of Swiss motorways with the vignette. You do not pay anything at toll booths and you do not need to buy a vignette yourself, because you travel in our vehicle. The price you see in the booking form is the price you pay for that route.
Cheapest private transfer geneva airport
Our price is fixed per vehicle, not per person, so sharing the car with family or colleagues lowers the cost per traveller. Choose the vehicle that matches your group: the Mercedes E-Class for up to 3 passengers and 3 bags, the V-Class van for up to 7 passengers and 10 bags. Enter your route in the booking form and the fixed price appears instantly, before payment, with no meter and no extra for a late flight. The ride is always private, door to door, never shared with strangers.
Are prices in Swiss francs or euros?
The fixed price for your vehicle is shown instantly in the booking form, together with its currency, before you pay. You see the exact amount that will be charged, with no meter and no surprise at the end of the journey. Payment is made online by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through a secure Stripe checkout. If you need the amount in another currency for your records, ask us at contact@airportstransfers.ch.
Is a return trip cheaper than two one-way transfers?
We do not publish a reduced rate for return bookings. Each journey has its own fixed price per vehicle, shown instantly in the booking form before payment, so you can see the total for both legs before you confirm. Booking the outward and return transfers together is still practical: the return pick-up is planned in advance and your confirmation arrives instantly by e-mail. For questions about special conditions, contact us at contact@airportstransfers.ch.
Why are private transfers from Geneva so expensive?
A private transfer covers a whole vehicle and a professional chauffeur reserved only for you, door to door and available 24/7. The price includes flight tracking, meet and greet with a name board in the arrivals hall and waiting if your flight is late. Because the price is fixed per vehicle, not per person, a family or group sharing a V-Class van divides the cost. You can check the exact fixed price for your route instantly in the booking form before paying, with no surprises afterwards.
How much does a private transfer cost per person if we are a group of 8?
Prices are fixed per vehicle, not per person, so the cost per head simply depends on how you split the total. A group of 8 does not fit in one Mercedes V-Class (7 passengers), so you can book a V-Class plus a sedan, or ask for a Sprinter minibus, which carries up to 16 people. Enter your route in the booking form to see the fixed price instantly, or contact us for a minibus quote.
Are there extra charges for public holidays or Christmas?
We drive 24/7, including Christmas, New Year and public holidays. Whatever the date, the booking form shows the fixed price per vehicle for your exact trip before you pay, so you know the full amount in advance and nothing is added on the day, even if your flight is late. Holiday periods are busy, so book early online, or call or message us on WhatsApp at +41 78 346 56 77 for last-minute requests.
Do you charge for an extra stop on the way, like a supermarket?
A short stop on the way, for example at a supermarket before you reach your chalet, can usually be arranged. Please mention it when booking, with the place and roughly how long you need, so the chauffeur can plan the journey. Whether a longer stop changes the fixed price depends on the route and its length, so contact us by phone or WhatsApp at +41 78 346 56 77 or at contact@airportstransfers.ch to confirm before you travel.
Is VAT included in the transfer price?
The fixed price per vehicle shown in the booking form before payment is the total amount you pay for the transfer. If you need the tax details for accounting, for example for a business trip, enter your company details when booking: we issue invoices for companies. For any specific question about how VAT appears on your invoice, contact us by e-mail at contact@airportstransfers.ch or by phone or WhatsApp on +41 78 346 56 77 and we will confirm it for you.
Are parking fees at the airport included?
You do not pay anything extra for the chauffeur's parking at Geneva Airport: your transfer is sold at a fixed price per vehicle, shown before payment, and meet and greet in the arrivals hall is part of the service. Waiting caused by a late flight is also included. If you plan an unusual pick-up, such as a long stop on the way, mention it at booking or contact us to confirm.
Do child seats cost extra?
Child seats and boosters are available on request: select them in the booking form and give each child's age so the right seat is fitted before pick-up. The booking form shows the full fixed price for your vehicle before you pay, so you can see the total including your requests before confirming. If you have any doubt about what applies to your booking, contact us by phone, WhatsApp or at contact@airportstransfers.ch.
Is there a price difference between a sedan and a van?
Yes. The price is fixed per vehicle, so it depends on the vehicle category and on the route. The Mercedes E-Class sedan takes up to 3 passengers and 3 bags, while the Mercedes V-Class van takes up to 7 passengers and 10 bags, with room for skis. Enter your route in the booking form to see the fixed price of each vehicle instantly, before payment. For a group, one van often replaces two sedans.
Private chauffeur geneva price per hour
You can book a chauffeur by the hour in Geneva from a minimum of 2 hours, ideal for meetings, shopping or several stops in one day. The car and chauffeur stay at your disposal for the whole booked time, whether driving or waiting. Choose the vehicle (E-Class, S-Class, V-Class van or Sprinter for groups) and the number of hours in the booking form: the fixed price is shown instantly before payment. Companies can receive an invoice for the service.
Are there any hidden fees on top of the online price?
No. The fixed price per vehicle is shown before payment and stays the same whatever the traffic or the route taken. Waiting caused by a late flight costs nothing extra. Extras you add yourself, such as a child seat or skis, are declared at booking so the right vehicle is sent. If you want to change the booking later, contact us and we confirm any difference before it applies.
Do prices go up during ski season weekends?
Our prices are fixed per vehicle and shown instantly in the booking form or on the destination page for the date you choose, before you pay. Once booked, your price does not change, even if Saturday traffic to the resorts is heavy, snow slows the roads or your flight is late. Ski-season weekends and school holidays are the busiest periods, so we recommend booking early to secure the vehicle you want.
Is there a discount for booking early?
We do not publish an early booking discount. The fixed price per vehicle is shown instantly in the booking form before payment, and it covers everyone in the car. Booking early is still useful: it secures your vehicle for busy dates such as ski season weekends, and you receive your confirmation by e-mail straight away. If you have a question about special conditions, for example for a group or regular trips, contact us at contact@airportstransfers.ch.
Do you offer group discounts for ski clubs?
Our prices are fixed per vehicle, not per person, so a ski club travelling together already shares the cost of each vehicle. A Mercedes V-Class van takes up to 7 passengers and 10 bags with skis, and the Sprinter minibus carries up to 16 people. For any specific discount for clubs, please contact us before booking at contact@airportstransfers.ch or on +41 78 346 56 77 (phone or WhatsApp) with your dates, number of skiers and resort, and we will confirm what is possible.
Is crossing the French border charged extra?
No separate border fee is added. The fixed price per vehicle is calculated for your whole route, including any section in France, and is shown in the booking form before you pay. Just enter your exact destination address so the price matches the real journey, for example to Annecy, Chamonix or Megève, and remember to carry your passport or ID.
How much is a transfer from Geneva Airport to a ski resort on average?
There is no single average, because the price depends on the resort and the vehicle. Nearby resorts such as Morzine (~1 h 15) or Avoriaz (~1 h 30) cost less than distant ones like Val Thorens (~2 h 30) or Zermatt via Täsch (~3 h 15). The fixed price per vehicle, not per person, is shown instantly on each resort page and in the booking form. A V-Class for up to 7 people with skis often makes a group transfer good value.
Can I pay the driver a tip by card?
Tips are not part of the online payment, which covers the fixed price per vehicle, paid by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay when you book. Whether a tip can be given to the chauffeur by card is not something we can confirm in general. If you would like to thank your chauffeur, please ask us beforehand by phone or WhatsApp at +41 78 346 56 77 or by e-mail at contact@airportstransfers.ch, and we will tell you what is possible.
What does the price include exactly?
The fixed price per vehicle covers the private car and its professional chauffeur, door to door with no shared rides, flight tracking and meet and greet with a name board in the arrivals hall. Waiting caused by a late flight is included. Child seats and skis are available on request when declared at booking. The price appears in the booking form before payment and is confirmed by e-mail.

If your transfer is tonight and that window has passed, call us or send a WhatsApp message on +41 78 346 56 77: we operate 24/7 and check right away whether a chauffeur and vehicle are available. Can I book last minute after landing?
Online booking closes 12 hours before pick-up, so after landing please call or message us on WhatsApp at +41 78 346 56 77. We operate 24/7 and check straight away whether a chauffeur and vehicle are free. Give your flight number, the number of passengers and bags, and your destination address. Availability cannot be guaranteed at short notice, especially on busy winter weekends, so booking ahead is safer.
Can I pay in cash to the driver?
Transfers are paid online at booking, by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, through the secure Stripe payment page. The fixed price per vehicle is shown before you pay and your confirmation arrives instantly by e-mail, so there is nothing to settle with the chauffeur on the day. If you cannot pay online, for example for a last-minute trip, call or send a WhatsApp message to +41 78 346 56 77 and we will tell you which options are possible.
Which payment methods can I use?
Online payment at booking is made through a secure Stripe checkout by credit or debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and you receive an instant e-mail confirmation. These are the payment methods offered in the booking form. If you would like to use another method, please contact us before booking by phone or WhatsApp on +41 78 346 56 77 or at contact@airportstransfers.ch and we will tell you what is possible for your transfer.
I haven't received my booking confirmation, what should I do?
The confirmation is sent instantly by e-mail after payment. First check your spam or promotions folder, and make sure the e-mail address you entered in the booking form was correct. If you still cannot find it, contact us by phone or WhatsApp at +41 78 346 56 77 or by e-mail at contact@airportstransfers.ch with your name, the date and the route, and we will check your booking and send the confirmation again.
What is your cancellation policy?
The cancellation conditions are displayed during the online booking, before you pay, so you can read them for your specific transfer. If you need to cancel or change a booking, contact us as soon as possible by phone or WhatsApp on +41 78 346 56 77 or by e-mail at contact@airportstransfers.ch, quoting your booking number. The earlier you tell us, the easier it is to adjust your plans.
Can I get a full refund if I cancel 24 hours before?
Cancellation terms depend on how far ahead you cancel and are shown in the conditions when you book, so please check them in your booking and confirmation. If your plans change, contact us as early as possible by phone or WhatsApp on +41 78 346 56 77 or at contact@airportstransfers.ch, quoting your booking, and we will confirm exactly what applies to your transfer. Changing the date or time instead of cancelling is often possible.
Can I book by WhatsApp?
Yes, for last-minute requests. The usual way is the online booking form, open up to 12 hours before pick-up: you see the fixed price per vehicle instantly, pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay and get an e-mail confirmation. For a transfer within the next 12 hours, or if you prefer to arrange it in a message, write to us on WhatsApp at +41 78 346 56 77 (24/7) with your route, date, time, passengers, luggage and flight number.
Do I need to give my flight number when booking?
Yes, please give it. Your flight number lets us track your flight in real time, so the chauffeur adapts to an early or late landing, and waiting caused by a late flight is included. Enter it in the booking form with the other pick-up details. If you do not have it yet, or your flight changes after booking, send it to us by phone or WhatsApp at +41 78 346 56 77 or by e-mail at contact@airportstransfers.ch.
Can I book the outbound and return in one booking?
Yes. Return transfers can be booked together: enter the outbound journey, then add the return with its date, pick-up address and time, or your departure flight details. The fixed price per vehicle for both legs is shown before you pay, and you receive one e-mail confirmation. Booking both ways in advance is useful in busy periods such as ski season. If your plans change later, contact us by phone or WhatsApp on +41 78 346 56 77 or by e-mail.
Can I add a passenger after booking?
Yes, contact us by phone or WhatsApp on +41 78 346 56 77 or at contact@airportstransfers.ch with your booking number and the new passenger count. As long as the vehicle you booked has room (E-Class 3 passengers, V-Class 7, Sprinter up to 16), we simply update the booking. If the extra person or luggage needs a larger vehicle, we tell you the new fixed price before anything changes.
How will I get the driver's contact details?
After booking you receive an instant e-mail confirmation with all the details of your transfer, and your chauffeur's contact details are shared before the pick-up so you can call or message after landing. On arrival the chauffeur waits in the arrivals hall with a name board. If you cannot find your driver or need help at any time, our team answers 24/7 by phone and WhatsApp on +41 78 346 56 77.
Do you send a reminder before the transfer?
Your booking confirmation is sent instantly by e-mail, with the date, time, route and vehicle. Keep it handy, as it contains the details you need on the day of travel. We do not promise a separate reminder for every transfer, so if you would like one, or want to check your details before travelling, contact us by phone or WhatsApp at +41 78 346 56 77 or by e-mail at contact@airportstransfers.ch.
Is my card charged immediately when I book?
Payment is made online at the time of booking, through a secure Stripe checkout by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. You see the fixed price per vehicle before you confirm, and as soon as the payment goes through you receive an instant e-mail confirmation of your transfer. Nothing more is collected on the day, even if your flight is late, since waiting caused by a late flight is included. For any question about a specific payment, contact us at contact@airportstransfers.ch.
What happens if I booked the wrong date?
Contact us as soon as you notice the mistake, by phone or WhatsApp on +41 78 346 56 77 or by e-mail at contact@airportstransfers.ch, quoting your booking and the correct date, time and flight number. We will update your transfer so the chauffeur is there on the right day. The sooner you tell us, the easier the change, especially in busy periods. Check your e-mail confirmation to make sure all details are right.
Is online booking secure?
Yes. Payment is handled by Stripe, a secure payment platform, and you pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The fixed price per vehicle is displayed before you confirm, so there are no surprises, and you receive an instant e-mail confirmation once the payment has gone through. If anything looks unclear during booking, contact us by phone or WhatsApp at +41 78 346 56 77 or at contact@airportstransfers.ch before paying.
Can I pay by bank transfer?
Online bookings are paid securely at the time of booking by credit or debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe, and you receive your confirmation instantly by e-mail. The fixed price per vehicle is shown before you pay. Companies can receive an invoice for their transfers. If you need another payment arrangement, please contact us at contact@airportstransfers.ch before booking so we can confirm what is possible.
Do you need a deposit for ski season bookings?
Bookings work the same way all year: you see the fixed price per vehicle in the booking form and pay online at booking by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, with an instant e-mail confirmation. There is no separate payment step on the day. In ski season, book as soon as your flights are known, declare skis or snowboards and request child seats so the right vehicle is assigned. For a group or special arrangement, contact us at contact@airportstransfers.ch.
Geneva Airport: arrival and departure24
Where do i meet my driver at geneva airport
Your chauffeur meets you in the arrivals hall of the Swiss sector, just after baggage claim and customs, holding a board with your name. If your flight arrives in the French sector, mention it when booking and the chauffeur waits on the French side instead. Your flight is tracked, so the driver adjusts to the real landing time. If you need help finding them, call or WhatsApp +41 78 346 56 77, available 24/7.
Will the driver wait inside the arrivals hall with a name sign?
Yes. For airport pick-ups your chauffeur waits in the arrivals hall with a name board, in the Swiss sector of Geneva Airport, or in the French sector if you request it when booking. The chauffeur follows your flight, so a late landing is not a problem: waiting caused by a late flight is included. You can also ask for a company name or another text on the sign by mentioning it in the booking notes.
Should I exit via the Swiss or French side of Geneva Airport?
Most flights arrive in the Swiss sector, and that is where your chauffeur waits in the arrivals hall with a name board. Use the French sector only if your flight arrives there or if you have arranged it: tell us at booking and the chauffeur will meet you on the French side instead. If you are unsure which side your flight uses, give us the flight number and we will confirm the meeting point.
Which terminal does my flight arrive at in Geneva?
Most flights to Geneva arrive in the Swiss sector of the airport, and that is where your chauffeur waits for you in the arrivals hall with a name board. If you need to leave through the French sector, for example to continue into France, tell us when booking and the chauffeur will meet you on that side. Your airline can confirm where your flight arrives, and we track your flight number so the chauffeur knows when you land.
Is Terminal 2 at Geneva Airport still used?
Which terminal or arrivals area your flight uses is decided by the airport and your airline, so check your ticket or the airline for that detail. For your transfer it changes nothing on your side: give your flight number at booking, we track the flight and your chauffeur meets you with a name board in the arrivals hall where you come out. Most arrivals use the Swiss sector; the French sector is possible on request. If in doubt on the day, call or WhatsApp +41 78 346 56 77.
How long does it take to get through passport control at Geneva Airport?
It varies with the time of day, the number of flights landing together and whether you arrive from a Schengen country or not, so we cannot give a fixed duration. You do not need to rush: your flight is tracked, and the chauffeur waits in the arrivals hall with a name board after passport control, baggage reclaim and customs. If something holds you up, call or message +41 78 346 56 77.
What if I can't find my driver at arrivals?
Your chauffeur waits in the arrivals hall with a name board, in the Swiss sector unless you asked for the French sector. If you cannot see the chauffeur after collecting your bags, stay in the arrivals hall and call or send a WhatsApp message to +41 78 346 56 77: we are available 24/7 and will contact the chauffeur straight away to bring you together. Keep your phone switched on after landing.
Does the driver track my flight?
Yes. Give your flight number when you book and we track your flight in real time. If you land early or late, your chauffeur adjusts to the actual arrival time and is waiting for you in the arrivals hall with a name board. Waiting caused by a late flight is included in the fixed price, so a delay costs you nothing extra. If your flight is cancelled or rebooked onto another flight, let us know by phone or WhatsApp on +41 78 346 56 77 so we can update your pick-up.
How early should I be at Geneva Airport for my departure?
Check your airline's recommendation for check-in and security, as it varies by airline and destination. When you book your departure transfer, give your flight time and pick-up address, and plan the pick-up so you arrive with that margin plus the drive: about 15 minutes from Geneva city centre, around 45 minutes from Lausanne, longer from the ski resorts. If unsure, contact us and we will help you choose a pick-up time.
What time should the driver pick me up for an 8am flight from Geneva?
Start from your flight: check with your airline how early you need to be at the airport for check-in and security, then add the drive time. From Geneva city centre the drive is around 15 minutes; from Lausanne, allow around 45 minutes. For an 8am flight, add a safety margin for traffic and weather, then set the pick-up time in the booking form. If you are unsure, contact us and we will help you choose the right time.
Where will the driver drop me off for departures?
For a departure from Geneva Airport, your chauffeur collects you at your door at the agreed time and drives you directly to the departures area, helping with your luggage when you arrive. If your flight leaves from the French sector, mention it when booking so we plan the drop-off on that side. Add your flight number and departure time to the booking so the pick-up time leaves enough margin for check-in and security. Changes can be made by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail.
Is Geneva Airport busy on Saturdays in winter?
Winter Saturdays are typically the busiest days, as many ski holidays start and end then, so expect more people at arrivals and slower roads towards the Alps. Your chauffeur tracks your flight and waits in the arrivals hall with a name board, and waiting caused by a late flight is included. Book early for Saturdays in the ski season, declare skis at booking and allow extra time for your return flight.
Is there free wifi at Geneva Airport so I can contact my driver?
Wi-Fi at the terminal is provided by the airport, not by us, so it is best not to rely on it. In most cases you will not need to contact anyone: we track your flight and your chauffeur waits in the arrivals hall with a name board, even if you are late. Before travelling, save our 24/7 number +41 78 346 56 77 (phone and WhatsApp) and keep your e-mail confirmation handy. If you cannot find your chauffeur, call or message that number as soon as you have a connection.
How long does baggage reclaim take at Geneva Airport?
It depends on your flight and how busy the airport is, and skis or other oversized items often come out separately, which can take longer. You do not need to worry about the time: your chauffeur tracks your flight and waits for you in the arrivals hall with a name board while you collect everything. If your bag is missing and you need to file a report, call or message +41 78 346 56 77 so we know.
Where do I collect oversized ski bags at Geneva Airport?
At Geneva Airport, ski bags and other bulky items usually arrive at a separate oversized baggage area in the baggage hall rather than on the normal belt; check the airport signs or ask airport staff. Take your time: your flight is tracked and your chauffeur waits in the arrivals hall with a name board. If collecting your skis takes long, send a message to your driver or WhatsApp us on +41 78 346 56 77.
Is it better to fly into Geneva or Lyon for the Alps?
It depends on your resort and your flights. From Geneva Airport many Alpine resorts are within easy driving distance: Chamonix about 1 h 15, Megève about 1 h 10, Morzine about 1 h 15, Avoriaz about 1 h 30, Verbier about 2 h, Courchevel about 2 h 15, Val Thorens about 2 h 30 and Zermatt (Täsch) about 3 h 15. We drive door to door from Geneva Airport to your chalet or hotel, with flight tracking and meet and greet. Compare those times with your flight options to choose.
Do I need to go through customs if I arrive in the French sector?
Border and customs formalities depend on where your flight comes from and on which sector it uses, so check the rules for your trip with your airline or the official authorities. For your transfer, simply tell us at booking if you arrive in the French sector: the chauffeur will meet you there with a name board instead of in the Swiss arrivals hall. Most flights use the Swiss sector, which is the standard meeting point.
My ski resort is in France, should I use the French exit at GVA?
It is not necessary. Most flights arrive in the Swiss sector, where our chauffeurs meet passengers with a name board, and the drive to French resorts such as Chamonix (~1 h 15), Megève (~1 h 10) or Courchevel (~2 h 15) works perfectly from there. If your flight and airline allow you to exit through the French sector and you prefer it, simply mention it when booking and your chauffeur will wait on the French side.
Does Geneva Airport close at night?
Our transfers run 24/7, so a late arrival or a very early departure is no problem for the car service. The airport's night hours and flight schedules are set by the airport and the airlines, so check your flight times with your airline. For an early or late flight, book your transfer online up to 12 hours before pick-up, or call or send a WhatsApp message to +41 78 346 56 77 for a last-minute request.
Can the driver meet me at the train station inside Geneva Airport?
Our standard meeting point is the arrivals hall, where your chauffeur waits with a name board after you clear customs (Swiss sector, or French sector on request). If you are arriving by train at the airport station instead, mention it in the booking notes with your train time and we will confirm a suitable meeting point. You can also simply enter the airport as the pick-up address and call or WhatsApp +41 78 346 56 77 on arrival so the chauffeur knows where you are.
Is there a pick-up zone for private cars outside arrivals?
With AirportsTransfers.ch you do not need to look for a pick-up zone. Your chauffeur meets you inside the arrivals hall with a board showing your name, helps with your luggage and walks with you to the vehicle parked nearby. Just indicate whether you arrive in the Swiss or French sector when booking. If you cannot see your driver, call or WhatsApp +41 78 346 56 77, available 24/7.
Will I get a message when my driver is at the airport?
We track your flight, so your chauffeur knows when you land and waits for you in the arrivals hall with a name board. You do not need to send a message on landing. If you cannot see your chauffeur, or want to tell us about a delay at baggage reclaim, call or send a WhatsApp message to +41 78 346 56 77, available 24/7. Your instant e-mail confirmation contains the booking details for the day.
Can cars stop in front of departures at Geneva Airport?
Traffic and stopping rules in front of the terminal are set by the airport. You do not need to worry about them: your chauffeur knows the drop-off arrangements at Geneva Airport and brings you as close as allowed to the departures area, then helps unload your luggage. If you have reduced mobility, a lot of luggage or a flight from the French sector, mention it at booking so the drop-off is planned accordingly. Your pick-up time is set from your flight details.
Which exit should I take after customs at GVA?
After customs in the Swiss sector you come straight into the arrivals hall, where your chauffeur waits with a name board; there is no need to look for a car park or a taxi rank. If you arrive in the French sector, mention it at booking and the chauffeur meets you on that side. If you cannot see your chauffeur, call or message +41 78 346 56 77 and we guide you to the meeting point.
Flights, delays and night arrivals14
My flight was cancelled, can I move my transfer to tomorrow?
Yes, contact us as soon as you know your new flight. Send your booking reference and the new flight details by phone or WhatsApp at +41 78 346 56 77 or by e-mail at contact@airportstransfers.ch, and we will try to move your transfer to the new date and time, subject to availability. The earlier you tell us, the easier it is to arrange. Any conditions linked to the change are confirmed by our team.
My flight lands at midnight, can I still get a transfer?
Yes. We operate 24/7, so a midnight landing is no problem. Book online at least 12 hours before pick-up with your flight number: the flight is tracked, and your chauffeur waits in the arrivals hall with a name board even if you land later than planned, with the waiting included. If your plans change at short notice, call or message us on WhatsApp at +41 78 346 56 77.
Do you operate early morning pickups at 4am?
Yes. AirportsTransfers.ch operates 24/7, so a pick-up at 4am for an early flight from Geneva Airport, or an early arrival, is no problem. Book online at least 12 hours before pick-up with your exact address and flight time, and you receive your confirmation instantly by e-mail. For a later decision, call or WhatsApp +41 78 346 56 77. Roads are quiet at that hour: about 15 minutes from the city centre, around 45 minutes from Lausanne.
How much free waiting time is included after landing?
Waiting caused by a late flight is included: we track your flight and the chauffeur adapts to the actual landing time, so a delay does not cost you extra. The chauffeur then waits in the arrivals hall with a name board while you clear passport control and collect your bags. We do not publish a fixed number of free minutes after landing, so if you expect a long delay, for example for lost luggage, call or send a WhatsApp message to +41 78 346 56 77.
I missed my connection and will arrive on a later flight, what do I do?
Tell us your new flight as soon as you know it. Call or send a WhatsApp message to +41 78 346 56 77, available 24/7, or e-mail contact@airportstransfers.ch with your booking reference and the new flight number. We track flights in real time and waiting caused by a late flight is included, but a different flight must be updated in your booking so the chauffeur meets the right arrival. We then confirm the new pick-up time.
My luggage is lost, will the driver wait while I fill in the form?
Yes, let your chauffeur know. You receive the chauffeur's contact details before travel, and our team is reachable 24/7 on +41 78 346 56 77 by phone or WhatsApp. Send a short message saying you are at the lost baggage desk, then file your report calmly: the chauffeur stays in the arrivals hall with your name board. Since we do not publish a fixed waiting limit for this case, keep us informed if it takes long. Ask the airline to deliver the bag to your destination address.
Are there taxis at Geneva Airport after midnight?
Availability at the taxi rank late at night can vary, and the meter price depends on traffic and waiting. If you land after midnight, a pre-booked private transfer is a calmer option: AirportsTransfers.ch operates 24/7, tracks your flight and your chauffeur waits in the arrivals hall with a name board, at a fixed price per vehicle shown before payment. Book online up to 12 hours ahead, or call or WhatsApp +41 78 346 56 77.
If my flight is cancelled do I get a refund for the transfer?
Contact us as soon as you know your flight is cancelled, by phone or WhatsApp at +41 78 346 56 77 or by e-mail at contact@airportstransfers.ch. Often the simplest option is to move the transfer to your new flight. Whether a refund is possible depends on the booking conditions shown before payment and on when you tell us, so our team will confirm what applies to your booking. Keep your booking reference ready when you get in touch.
My flight number changed, does it matter?
Yes, please tell us. Your chauffeur's timing is based on the flight number you gave at booking, which we use to track your arrival in real time. Send the new flight number and arrival time by phone or WhatsApp on +41 78 346 56 77 or by e-mail at contact@airportstransfers.ch, quoting your booking number. We then follow the right flight and the chauffeur is in the arrivals hall when you land.
Will the driver still be there if my plane is 2 hours late?
Yes. We track your flight using the flight number you give when booking, so your chauffeur adjusts to the real landing time instead of waiting from the original schedule. Waiting caused by a late flight is included in the fixed price, so a delay does not add to the cost and you do not need to call us. If your flight is cancelled or rerouted, contact us by phone or WhatsApp on +41 78 346 56 77 so we can rearrange your pick-up.
Can I get to a ski resort at 1am after a late flight?
Yes. Our service runs 24/7, so a transfer to a ski resort after a late landing is possible. We track your flight, and waiting caused by a late flight is included. Give the exact address of your chalet or hotel and, if you arrive at night, check with your accommodation how you will collect the keys. Drive times vary, for example around 1 h 15 to Chamonix or 2 h to Verbier, so you may arrive in the early hours.
Do you pick up from the first flights arriving at 6am?
Yes. We operate 24/7, so early-morning arrivals are covered like any other flight. Book online at least 12 hours before pick-up and give your flight number: the flight is tracked and your chauffeur waits in the arrivals hall with a name board, even if you land early or late. Early departures to the airport are possible too, and for anything at short notice call or message +41 78 346 56 77.
How long should I allow between landing and the pickup time?
For an arrival you do not need to calculate a buffer yourself. Enter your flight number and the scheduled landing time when booking: we track the flight and your chauffeur adjusts to the actual landing, then waits in the arrivals hall with a name board while you collect your bags and pass customs. Waiting caused by a late flight is included. If you are held up for another reason, message us on WhatsApp at +41 78 346 56 77.
My return flight was moved earlier, can you pick me up earlier?
Yes, in most cases. Contact us as soon as possible with your booking reference and the new flight time, by phone or WhatsApp at +41 78 346 56 77 or by e-mail at contact@airportstransfers.ch, and we will move your pick-up time, subject to availability. For changes at short notice, phone or WhatsApp is the fastest way to reach us. You receive confirmation of the new pick-up time once it is arranged.
Luggage, skis and equipment14
Do you have a ski rack or roof box?
Skis and snowboards travel inside the vehicle. The Mercedes V-Class takes up to 7 passengers and 10 bags with room for skis, and the Sprinter suits larger groups. Declare your skis or snowboards when booking so we send a vehicle with enough space. If you have a lot of equipment or unusual items, mention it at booking or contact us at contact@airportstransfers.ch to confirm the best solution before your trip.
Can you transport bikes from Geneva Airport?
Bikes can be carried if you declare them when booking, with the number of bikes and whether they are packed in bags or boxes. This lets us assign a vehicle with enough space, usually the Mercedes V-Class or, for a group, the Sprinter. Any conditions or extra charge for bikes are confirmed before you travel, so please mention them at booking or contact us at contact@airportstransfers.ch.
Can I travel with my dog in the car?
Please ask before booking. Tell us the size of your dog and whether it travels in a crate, so we can confirm whether it can travel with you and which vehicle is suitable. Write it in the booking notes, or contact us at contact@airportstransfers.ch or by WhatsApp at +41 78 346 56 77 before you pay. Please do not book without mentioning the animal, as the chauffeur needs to know in advance to prepare the vehicle.
Are pets allowed in private transfers?
Please ask before or when booking. Tell us the type and size of your pet and whether it travels in a carrier or crate, either in the booking notes or by contacting us at contact@airportstransfers.ch or on +41 78 346 56 77 (phone or WhatsApp). We will then confirm whether the pet can travel and which vehicle is suitable. For a larger dog or several animals, the Mercedes V-Class van usually gives more space. Wait for our confirmation before you travel.
Do you need to know how much luggage I have in advance?
Yes, please give your luggage when booking, because it decides which vehicle we send. A Mercedes E-Class takes 3 passengers and 3 bags, the S-Class 3 passengers and 2 bags, the V-Class 7 passengers and 10 bags with room for skis, and the Sprinter is for groups. Skis, snowboards and other bulky items must be declared at booking. If your luggage changes later, tell us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail.
What happens if we have more luggage than declared?
The vehicle is chosen from the luggage you declare: the E-Class takes 3 bags, the S-Class 2, the V-Class up to 10 with skis, and the Sprinter suits groups. If you will travel with more, tell us as soon as possible by phone, WhatsApp on +41 78 346 56 77 or at contact@airportstransfers.ch, so we can switch to a larger vehicle before the day. Extra bags that do not fit cannot be carried safely, so updating your booking early matters.
Can you carry a cat in a pet carrier?
Please ask before booking. Tell us that you are travelling with a cat in a closed pet carrier, and give the size of the carrier, either in the booking notes or by contacting us at contact@airportstransfers.ch or by WhatsApp at +41 78 346 56 77. We will then confirm whether the animal can travel and which vehicle is suitable. Please do not book without mentioning it, as the chauffeur needs to know in advance.
Do you have a trailer for lots of luggage?
For large amounts of luggage the usual solution is the right vehicle rather than a trailer: the Mercedes V-Class carries up to 7 passengers and 10 bags with room for skis, and the Sprinter takes groups of up to 16 with their luggage. You can also book two vehicles travelling together. Tell us the exact number and size of your bags at booking, or write to contact@airportstransfers.ch, and we confirm what fits.
Can you transport a cello or another large musical instrument?
Please declare the instrument when booking, with the size of the case and the number of passengers, so we can confirm a suitable vehicle. The Mercedes V-Class van takes up to 7 passengers and 10 bags, which leaves more room for bulky cases than a sedan; for an ensemble with several instruments, the Mercedes Sprinter carries larger groups. Mention it in the booking notes or contact us at contact@airportstransfers.ch to confirm before you travel.
Can I keep my ski boot bag with me inside the car?
Declare your skis, snowboards and boot bags when you book so we assign a vehicle with enough space for all your equipment. If you would like to keep your boot bag with you in the cabin, for example because it holds valuables, add a note to the booking or tell the chauffeur when loading. Whether it fits comfortably depends on the vehicle and the number of passengers; the V-Class van offers the most room. For a definite answer before travel, contact us at contact@airportstransfers.ch.
Can you transport boxes when we move into a chalet for the season?
Our service is a private chauffeur transfer for passengers and their luggage, door to door. A Mercedes V-Class carries up to 7 passengers and 10 bags, and a Sprinter offers more room for groups. If you plan to bring boxes or bulky items for a season in a chalet, describe the volume when booking or contact us at contact@airportstransfers.ch first, so we can confirm whether it fits and which vehicle to send.
Will the driver load the skis for us?
Yes. Your chauffeur helps with your luggage between the arrivals hall and the vehicle, including skis and snowboards, and unloads everything at your chalet or hotel. Please declare skis, snowboards and boot bags when booking, so we send a vehicle with enough space: the Mercedes V-Class van takes up to 7 passengers and 10 bags, with room for skis. At Geneva Airport, ski bags often arrive at the oversized baggage area, so collect them before meeting the chauffeur.
Is there a limit on suitcase size?
What matters is that all your luggage fits the vehicle you choose. As a guide, the Mercedes E-Class takes 3 passengers and 3 bags, the S-Class 3 passengers and 2 bags, the V-Class van 7 passengers and 10 bags, and the Sprinter suits groups. Declare large or unusual items such as oversized cases, skis, snowboards or golf bags at booking. If you are unsure whether a very large piece will fit, describe it in the booking notes or contact us and we will suggest the right vehicle.
Can you transport ski equipment only, without passengers?
Our service is built around private transfers with passengers, so transporting ski equipment on its own is not a standard booking. If you need it, for example because your luggage arrives on a later flight, contact us by phone or WhatsApp on +41 78 346 56 77 or at contact@airportstransfers.ch with the details, and we will tell you whether it can be arranged. Skis travelling with you are simply declared at booking.
Families, children and groups20
Are child seats mandatory in Switzerland?
Yes. In Switzerland, as in France, young children must travel in a child seat or booster suited to their age and size. You do not need to bring your own: child seats and boosters are available on request. Give the number of children and their ages when booking, so the right seats are installed before pick-up. If your plans change, contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail at contact@airportstransfers.ch with your booking reference.
Do you have booster seats for a 7 year old?
Yes, child seats and boosters are available on request. When you book, give each child's age, and if possible their height or weight, so the chauffeur brings the right booster and fits it before you set off. Several boosters can be provided for families, and the Mercedes V-Class leaves room for luggage and skis as well. If you forget to add it, contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail before your transfer.
Can I bring my own car seat?
Child seats and boosters are available on request, fitted before pick-up when you give each child's age at booking, so you do not need to carry your own. If you prefer to use your own seat, mention it when booking so we know what to expect, and count it as an item of luggage when choosing the vehicle. For any question about fitting, contact us at contact@airportstransfers.ch or on WhatsApp at +41 78 346 56 77.
How many child seats can you fit in a van?
It depends on the type of seats and on how many adults travel. The Mercedes V-Class van takes up to 7 passengers and 10 bags, and child seats and boosters are provided on request. Give the number of children and their ages when booking, so we can check that all the seats fit together with your luggage and install them before pick-up. For larger families or groups, the Mercedes Sprinter carries up to 16 passengers.
Is a sedan big enough for a family of 5?
No, a sedan is not the right choice for five. The Mercedes E-Class and S-Class each take up to 3 passengers. For a family of 5, choose the Mercedes V-Class van, which carries up to 7 passengers and 10 bags, with room for skis and prams. Child seats and boosters are available on request: give each child's age when booking so the right seats are fitted. The price is fixed per vehicle, not per person, and is shown instantly in the booking form.
Do you have wheelchair accessible vehicles?
Our fleet is made up of Mercedes E-Class, S-Class, V-Class and Sprinter vehicles. If a passenger uses a wheelchair or needs help getting in and out, please describe the needs when booking, for example whether the wheelchair folds and whether the passenger can transfer to a seat. Contact us before booking at contact@airportstransfers.ch or on +41 78 346 56 77 so we can confirm which vehicle and arrangements suit you.
Can you take a folding wheelchair?
Please ask at booking and describe the passenger's needs, including the folding wheelchair and any walking aid, in the booking notes. We then confirm a suitable vehicle so the wheelchair travels with the luggage and there is enough space for everyone. Our chauffeurs help with luggage and loading. If you have further questions, for example about getting in and out of the vehicle, contact us before travel at contact@airportstransfers.ch or on +41 78 346 56 77.
Can someone meet my child travelling alone at Geneva Airport?
Please contact us before booking so we can discuss it: write to contact@airportstransfers.ch or call or message +41 78 346 56 77 with the child's age, flight details, the airline's escort arrangements and who will receive the child at the destination. We will tell you clearly whether and how we can handle the pick-up. Airlines have their own rules for unaccompanied minors, so check those with your airline too.
Are mountain roads safe for kids in a private car?
Our vehicles run on winter tyres in season, and professional chauffeurs adapt their speed and driving to the road and the weather. Children travel in child seats or boosters provided on request, so give their ages when booking. If a child tends to get car sick, tell the chauffeur at the start of the journey so that a stop can be made if needed, and bring water and a small snack. On snowy days, allow a little extra time.
We are 2 families with 6 kids, do we need two cars?
With four adults and six children you are ten people, more than the 7 seats of a Mercedes V-Class. You can book two vehicles travelling together, for example two V-Class vans, which also gives room for luggage and skis, or ask for a Sprinter minibus, which carries up to 16 people. Request child seats and boosters at booking with each child's age. The fixed price per vehicle is shown before payment.
Do babies count as passengers?
Yes, please include babies and young children in the passenger count when booking, because every occupant needs a seat or a child seat in the vehicle. Request the baby seat or booster you need and give each child's age, so the right seat is fitted before pick-up. Since our price is fixed per vehicle, not per person, counting a baby does not change the price of a given vehicle; it just ensures the car has enough seats.
Can you help a passenger with reduced mobility at the airport?
Yes. Please ask when booking and describe the assistance needed, for example a folding wheelchair, help with walking or extra time. Your chauffeur meets the passenger in the arrivals hall with a name board, takes care of the luggage and helps them into the vehicle. Many passengers find the Mercedes V-Class, with its sliding door, easier to get into. If assistance is needed inside the terminal, also request it from your airline in advance.
Is the van easy to get into for older people?
If a passenger has limited mobility, tell us when booking and describe what help is needed. The chauffeur takes care of the luggage and can assist the passenger on getting in and out. The Mercedes V-Class van offers space for up to 7 passengers; for one to three travellers, a Mercedes E-Class or S-Class sedan can also be chosen if that suits the passenger better. If you are unsure which vehicle is easiest, contact us at contact@airportstransfers.ch or +41 78 346 56 77.
Can you transport a school group to a ski camp?
Yes. A Mercedes Sprinter carries groups of up to 16 people, and several vehicles can be combined for a larger school group, all at a fixed price per vehicle. Declare skis, snowboards and luggage when you ask for the quote so everything fits, and give the exact address of the camp or chalet. Invoices are available for schools and organisations. Send your dates and numbers to contact@airportstransfers.ch.
Can we stop for food with children on a long transfer?
Yes. On a long transfer, a short stop can be arranged, for example for food, a toilet break or a rest with the children. Mention it when booking and remind the chauffeur at the start of the trip, so the stop is planned along the route. Bring snacks and water for small children, as journeys can take longer on busy days. Child seats and boosters are available on request; give the children's ages when booking.
Are the child seats cleaned between uses?
Child seats and boosters are provided on request and fitted in the vehicle before you leave. To get the right seat, give each child's age when booking. If you have particular expectations about the seat, for example regarding hygiene, a specific model or an infant carrier, mention them in the booking notes or ask us before travel at contact@airportstransfers.ch or on +41 78 346 56 77 (phone or WhatsApp), and we will confirm the details for your transfer.
Can a pregnant woman travel comfortably on the mountain road?
We cannot give medical advice, so please check with your doctor before a long drive, especially to resorts such as Verbier (about 2 h) or Val Thorens (about 2 h 30) with winding final climbs. On our side, you travel in a private Mercedes with a professional chauffeur, door to door with no shared stops. Mention the pregnancy in the booking notes so the chauffeur is aware, and choose a roomy vehicle such as the S-Class or V-Class.
Do you offer a minibus for a stag or hen group going skiing?
Yes. For a stag or hen group heading to the slopes, the Mercedes Sprinter takes up to 16 passengers, and the V-Class carries up to 7 with 10 bags and skis; several vehicles can also travel together. Declare all skis and snowboards when booking so there is enough space. You pay one fixed price per vehicle, not per person, shown before payment. For larger groups or special timings, contact us at contact@airportstransfers.ch.
Which seat do you provide for a 2-year-old toddler?
For a 2-year-old, we provide a child seat suited to the age and size of your toddler. Child seats and boosters are available on request: give the child's age, and ideally the weight, when booking, so the right seat is installed before pick-up. If you travel with several children, list each age. You can also add or change a seat later by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail at contact@airportstransfers.ch with your booking reference.
Can my grandmother sit in the front?
Adult passengers can ask for a particular seat, for example if an older passenger finds the front seat easier to get into or more comfortable on winding roads. Mention it in the booking notes and tell the chauffeur when you are met. Please also let us know about any mobility needs in advance so we can plan the right vehicle. For any question, write to contact@airportstransfers.ch or call +41 78 346 56 77.
Ski transfers20
How bad is Saturday traffic to the ski resorts from Geneva?
Winter Saturdays are changeover days, so roads to the big resorts, especially in the French Alps, are often much busier than on weekdays and journeys can take noticeably longer than the usual times, such as about 2 h 15 to Courchevel or 2 h 30 to Val Thorens. Your price stays fixed whatever the traffic. If you can, travel early in the day or on another day, and tell your chalet or hotel that you may arrive later.
Do your cars have winter tyres and snow chains?
Yes. In winter our vehicles run on winter tyres suited to Alpine roads, and preparing the car for snow is our responsibility, not yours. Chauffeurs follow local rules on mountain roads, including where chains are required, and adapt their driving to snow and ice. On snowy days, allow extra time, as roads to the resorts can be slower. If you have a question about a specific route, contact us at contact@airportstransfers.ch.
What happens if the road to the resort is closed due to snow?
Our vehicles run on winter tyres and our chauffeurs follow road and weather conditions on the day. If the road to your resort is closed, the chauffeur takes you as close as safely possible and we keep you informed by phone or WhatsApp. When a closure is announced, we may adapt the timing or route with you. Follow local information, keep your phone on and contact us 24/7 on +41 78 346 56 77 if your plans change, for example if you need to stop overnight on the way.
Can you drop us directly at our chalet?
Yes, transfers are door to door, so your chauffeur drives you from the arrivals hall to the chalet address you give at booking. Enter the exact address, and if the chalet is hard to find or the access road is steep or narrow in snow, add directions or a GPS point in the notes. All vehicles run on winter tyres. If the last stretch cannot be driven safely, the chauffeur stops as close as possible.
How do I get to a car-free ski resort from Geneva?
We drive you as close as cars are allowed. For Zermatt, the chauffeur takes you to Täsch (~3 h 15 from Geneva), where the shuttle train covers the last stretch into the village. For Saas-Fee (~3 h 10), you are dropped at the village entrance car park, where local electric taxis and luggage services take over. Tell us your accommodation when booking and we will plan the drop-off point. Declare skis so the right vehicle is sent.
Can you drive up to a chalet with a steep icy driveway?
We drive wherever the road allows. Please give the exact address and describe the access when booking, for example a steep or narrow driveway, so the chauffeur can plan the best approach. Our vehicles run on winter tyres in season. If a driveway is icy or not cleared, the chauffeur may stop at the nearest safe point and help you with your luggage from there. Ask your chalet to clear the access before you arrive if possible.
Which ski resorts are closest to Geneva Airport?
Several resorts are close to Geneva Airport by road. Among the nearest: Megève about 1 h 10, Chamonix about 1 h 15, Morzine about 1 h 15, Avoriaz about 1 h 30 and Courmayeur about 1 h 30. A little further are Verbier and Gstaad, around 2 h each, then Méribel about 2 h 10 and Courchevel and Crans-Montana about 2 h 15. Times are for normal traffic; winter Saturdays and snow can add time. We drive door to door to all these resorts, with skis declared at booking.
Is it better to travel to the resort on Friday rather than Saturday?
If your chalet or hotel allows it, travelling on another day than Saturday often means quieter roads, because many ski weeks start and end on Saturdays. Drive times such as Courchevel (about 2 h 15) or Val Thorens (about 2 h 30) are for normal conditions and can be longer on busy winter Saturdays. We operate 24/7, every day of the week, so you can book whichever day suits your stay.
Can you pick us up from our chalet for the return to Geneva?
Yes. Book a transfer from your chalet address to Geneva Airport, or add the return when you book your arrival. Give the exact address, access details and your flight time, and the chauffeur collects you at the door of your chalet. Declare skis and luggage at booking so the vehicle has enough space. Allow for the drive time, for example around 2 h 15 from Courchevel, plus extra time on busy winter Saturdays.
Do you do transfers between two ski resorts?
Yes. Our private chauffeur service is door to door, so we can drive you from one resort to another during your holiday, for example between a Swiss and a French resort, as well as to or from Geneva Airport. Enter both addresses in the booking form to see the fixed price per vehicle before you pay. Declare skis and luggage so the right vehicle is sent, and book at least 12 hours ahead or call +41 78 346 56 77.
Can I book a day trip to a ski resort from Geneva with a driver?
Yes. Book a chauffeur by the hour, from a minimum of 2 hours, and the chauffeur drives you to the resort and back to Geneva on the same day; add your plans in the booking notes. Drive times include around 1 h 15 to Chamonix or 1 h 10 to Megève. Alternatively, book two separate transfers, one in the morning and one in the evening. Declare skis at booking, and choose the Mercedes V-Class for up to 7 people.
Do you have 4x4 vehicles for ski resorts?
Our fleet is made up of Mercedes E-Class and S-Class sedans, the V-Class van and the Sprinter minibus, all fitted with winter tyres for Alpine roads in the ski season. If your chalet has a particularly steep or narrow access, or you have a specific need for four-wheel drive, mention it at booking or contact us at contact@airportstransfers.ch so we can confirm the right vehicle for your address.
Do I need a car in the ski resort or is a transfer enough?
For many ski holidays a transfer is enough: we drive you door to door from Geneva Airport to your chalet or hotel, with skis declared at booking and winter tyres on our vehicles, and you can add the return trip in the same booking. If you want to move during your stay, you can book a transfer between two resorts or a chauffeur by the hour, from 2 hours, for a day out. Whether you need a car beyond that depends on your accommodation and plans in the resort.
Can you take us to the ski resort on Christmas Day?
Yes. We operate 24/7, including holidays such as Christmas Day, so your ski transfer can run on 25 December like any other day. The festive period is very busy in the Alps, so book online as early as possible, declare skis and luggage, and request child seats if needed. Your flight is tracked and the chauffeur waits in the arrivals hall with a name board. For last-minute changes call +41 78 346 56 77.
Do you work on New Year's Eve for ski transfers?
Yes. AirportsTransfers.ch operates 24/7, including New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, for ski transfers from Geneva Airport to the resorts and back. The festive period is one of the busiest of the season, so book online as early as possible with your flight number, address, passengers and skis. Winter tyres are fitted, your flight is tracked, and the fixed price per vehicle is shown before you pay.
When do ski season transfers get fully booked?
Ski season weekends fill up first, especially Saturdays during Christmas, New Year and the February school holidays, when many chalets change guests. Book as soon as your flights are confirmed. Online booking is open until 12 hours before pick-up, and you receive an instant e-mail confirmation. For a last-minute request, call or send a WhatsApp message to +41 78 346 56 77 and we will check what is still available.
Do you go through the Mont Blanc Tunnel?
For destinations on the Italian side such as Courmayeur, about 1 h 30 from Geneva Airport, and the Aosta Valley, the route through the Mont Blanc Tunnel is the usual choice. Your chauffeur decides the route on the day according to traffic and road conditions, and adapts if the tunnel is closed. The fixed price per vehicle is shown in the booking form before payment, so you do not pay extra if the route has to change. Declare skis and luggage at booking.
Can we do a mid-week ski transfer to avoid the queues?
Yes. We operate every day of the week, 24/7, so you can book a mid-week ski transfer whenever your accommodation allows it. Weekdays are generally quieter than winter Saturdays, when many ski weeks change over, so the drive is often closer to the normal times, such as Chamonix in about 1 h 15 or Verbier in about 2 h. Book online at least 12 hours ahead and declare your skis.
What happens if we get stuck in traffic and miss the chalet check-in?
Your transfer price is fixed and does not change with traffic, so the only issue is your arrival time. On busy winter Saturdays, let your chalet host or agency know your expected arrival and give them our number. Your chauffeur can keep you informed on the way, and our team is reachable 24/7 on +41 78 346 56 77. Giving the exact chalet address and access details when booking helps you reach the door without delay.
Do you do summer transfers to the Alps too?

The Mercedes S-Class offers the most space and comfort in the rear for up to 3 passengers with 2 bags, the Mercedes E-Class suits up to 3 passengers with 3 bags, and the Mercedes V-Class van takes up to 7 passengers and 10 bags. If a passenger is very tall or needs extra room, say so when booking or contact us at contact@airportstransfers.ch, and we will help you choose the right vehicle.
Can I get an executive van with face-to-face seating?
Our van is the Mercedes V-Class, which carries up to 7 passengers and 10 bags and is often chosen for teams travelling together between meetings. The seating layout can vary from one vehicle to another, so if face-to-face seating is important for a meeting on the move, mention it in the booking notes or contact us before booking at contact@airportstransfers.ch or on +41 78 346 56 77, and we will confirm what we can provide. Companies receive an invoice for each booking.
Private transfer vs taxi, train, shuttle16
Is it better to take the train or a transfer to a ski resort?
It depends on your luggage and your group. A train can suit a light traveller going to a resort with a station, but with skis, suitcases or children the changes between train, bus or cable car take effort. A private transfer takes you door to door from the arrivals hall, for example to Megève in about 1 h 10 or Verbier in about 2 h, at a fixed price per vehicle, not per person, shown before payment.
Is Uber available at Geneva Airport?
Ride-hailing apps may operate in Geneva, but availability, prices and waiting times change with demand, and you only know your car once you have landed. A pre-booked private transfer gives you a fixed price per vehicle shown before payment, flight tracking, a chauffeur waiting in the arrivals hall with a name board, and waiting included if your flight is late. Book online up to 12 hours before, or by phone or WhatsApp at +41 78 346 56 77.
Can Uber take me to a ski resort from Geneva?
We cannot speak for other services, but we can tell you how a private transfer with us works. We drive door to door from Geneva Airport to ski resorts in Switzerland, France and Italy, such as Chamonix, Verbier, Courchevel or Zermatt (Täsch). You book in advance with a fixed price per vehicle, declare skis and snowboards so the right vehicle comes, and our vehicles run on winter tyres. We track your flight and the chauffeur waits in arrivals with a name board.
Should I rent a car or book a private transfer for a ski trip?
A rental car gives freedom during the stay, but you drive mountain roads yourself, must fit skis and luggage in, and may need to find parking at the resort. With a private transfer a professional chauffeur meets you in the arrivals hall, the vehicle has winter tyres and room for skis if declared, and you are dropped at your door. If you need a car during the week, an hourly chauffeur from 2 hours is also possible.
Is the bus to the ski resorts from Geneva reliable?
Shared buses and coaches run to fixed timetables, may stop in several places and usually drop you at a central point in the resort, so a delayed flight or heavy Saturday traffic can mean long waits. A private transfer leaves when you land: your flight is tracked, waiting for a late flight is included, and the chauffeur drives you door to door to your chalet or hotel. The fixed price per vehicle is shown before you pay.
Is a private driver worth it vs public transport in Switzerland?
Public transport works well if you travel light to a place near a station. A private chauffeur is worth it when you have luggage, skis, children, a tight schedule or a late arrival: you are met in the arrivals hall, driven door to door without changes, and we operate 24/7. As the fixed price is per vehicle, not per person, it becomes more attractive the more of you travel together. See the price in the booking form.
What are the hidden costs of renting a car for the Alps in winter?
Beyond the daily rate, possible extra costs include winter equipment such as snow chains, motorway tolls in France and the Swiss vignette, fuel, parking at your resort and fees for crossing a border or returning the car elsewhere; check these with the rental company. You also drive snowy mountain roads yourself after a flight. A private transfer gives you a fixed price per vehicle, shown instantly in the booking form, with a professional chauffeur and winter tyres.
Is it cheaper to rent a car on the French side of Geneva Airport?
Rental prices depend on the rental companies, so compare their offers directly. Before deciding, consider what a private transfer includes: a chauffeur who drives you door to door, winter tyres in the mountains, no parking to find at your chalet and no fuel or return logistics. You can be met in the Swiss sector or, on request, the French sector of Geneva Airport. Our price is fixed per vehicle, not per person, and shown instantly in the booking form.
Ride-hailing app or pre-booked chauffeur at GVA?
With an app you request a car after landing and depend on what is available at that moment. A pre-booked chauffeur already knows your flight: it is tracked, waiting caused by a delay is included, and the chauffeur meets you in the arrivals hall with a name board. You see the fixed price per vehicle before paying, can choose the vehicle size, add child seats or skis, and receive instant e-mail confirmation.
For 6 people, is a van transfer cheaper than train tickets?
It depends on the destination and train fares on the day, but the comparison is easy: our price is fixed per vehicle, not per person, so one Mercedes V-Class carries all 6 of you with up to 10 bags and skis for a single amount. Check the price shown instantly on the destination page or in the booking form, then compare it with six train tickets. Remember the transfer also takes you door to door, with no changes.
Is taking the Swiss train with skis from Geneva Airport a hassle?
The train is possible, but with skis, boot bags and suitcases you carry everything to the platform, may need to change trains and often finish with a bus or cable car. With a private transfer, your chauffeur meets you in the arrivals hall with a name board and drives you door to door, with the skis loaded in the vehicle. Declare skis when booking: the Mercedes V-Class van takes up to 7 passengers and 10 bags, with room for skis.
Why book a private transfer instead of grabbing a taxi on arrival?
With a private transfer everything is settled before you land. You see the fixed price per vehicle before paying, so traffic or a late flight do not change it. We track your flight and your chauffeur waits in the arrivals hall with a name board, then drives you door to door with no shared ride. You choose the right vehicle in advance, from the E-Class to the V-Class van for 7 passengers and 10 bags, and can request child seats or declare skis.
Is a helicopter transfer to the ski resorts worth it?
A helicopter can save time on long routes, but it depends on the weather, the landing site and luggage limits, and you still need ground transport at both ends. We do not operate helicopters; we provide the ground part, with a professional chauffeur and Mercedes vehicles, including pick-ups at the private jet terminal. By road, Courchevel is about 2 h 15 and Zermatt (Täsch) about 3 h 15, at a fixed price per vehicle.
Can a Geneva taxi take me into France?
Cross-border rules for taxis can be restrictive, so it is best to check before you travel. With AirportsTransfers.ch you can book a private transfer from Geneva Airport to destinations in France, such as Annecy (~40 min), Chamonix (~1 h 15) or the French ski resorts, at a fixed price per vehicle shown before payment. If you prefer, ask to be met in the French sector of the airport when booking.
Do shared shuttles wait for delayed flights?
Each shared shuttle operator sets its own rules, and because a shuttle groups passengers from several flights, it may not wait for one late flight, or you may wait for others. With our private transfer, your flight is tracked in real time and waiting caused by a late flight is included, so the chauffeur is in the arrivals hall with a name board when you actually land. The vehicle is reserved for your party only, with no shared rides.
Private vans or a coach for a ski group of 20?
For a group of 20 we combine vehicles: the Mercedes Sprinter minibus carries up to 16 passengers, and one or more V-Class vans each take up to 7 passengers and 10 bags with skis. The vehicles can travel together, so the whole group arrives at the resort at the same time, door to door. Declare all skis, snowboards and luggage at booking so the right combination is planned. For groups, contact us at contact@airportstransfers.ch with your flights, numbers and resort.
