Chauffeur's tipSaturday changeover days in the Tarentaise are very busy; a flight landing early in the morning or late in the evening usually means a much faster drive.

From Geneva Airport to the Tarentaise

Your chauffeur leaves Geneva Airport and crosses into France just south of the city, joining the A41 motorway towards Annecy. The route continues towards Albertville, either via Annecy and the shore of its lake or via the motorway past Chambéry, depending on traffic. From Albertville, the N90 dual carriageway climbs the Tarentaise valley to Moûtiers.

At Moûtiers you take the Courchevel road, passing Le Praz before turning off to La Tania. The journey takes around 2 h 05 in normal traffic, and longer on busy winter Saturdays.

Arriving in La Tania

La Tania is accessible by car, and your driver drops you at your chalet or residence. The village is compact and built around the bottom of the slopes, with lifts linking up to Courchevel and Méribel and therefore to the whole Three Valleys. Many chalets are ski-in, ski-out, and the forest trails back into the village are a feature of the resort.

Practical advice

  • Declare skis and boards when booking; the Mercedes V-Class takes up to 7 passengers and 10 bags.
  • For large chalet groups, the Mercedes Sprinter minibus keeps everyone together.
  • Book your return transfer at the same time, as Saturday slots fill up in high season.

AirportsTransfers.ch tracks your flight and includes waiting time if it is delayed, so the chauffeur is waiting with your name sign whatever the arrival time.
