Cannes

Cannes, on the Côte d'Azur, welcomes festival and congress delegates, yacht owners and crews, and holidaymakers staying in the hotels along the Croisette. When flights are full or you would rather travel with all your luggage in one go, a private chauffeur from Geneva Airport takes you to your hotel, villa or marina in a single comfortable journey.

Chauffeur's tipAttending an event at the Palais des Festivals? Mention it at booking: road closures near the Croisette are common and the chauffeur will plan the best drop-off point.

The long road south to Cannes

This is one of our longer transfers. The chauffeur takes the A40 and A42 to Lyon, then the A7 Autoroute du Soleil down the Rhône valley. In Provence the route joins the A8 La Provençale, which runs east past Aix-en-Provence, through the wooded hills of the Var and the red rocks of the Estérel before descending to Cannes. Depending on traffic, an alternative inland route via Grenoble and the A51 can also be used. Allow around five and a half hours, with a comfort break whenever you wish.

Arriving in Cannes

We drop you at your hotel on the Croisette or in the town centre, at the Palais des Festivals for an event, at the Vieux-Port or Port Pierre Canto for a yacht, or at private villas in Super-Cannes, Le Cannet or Mougins. The chauffeur can also continue to the islands' ferry terminal or to the hills of the arrière-pays towards Grasse.

Practical advice

During major festivals and congresses, traffic and access around the Croisette are heavily controlled, so give us your accreditation details or hotel address in advance. A Mercedes S-Class is the natural choice for a business arrival; families or crews with lots of luggage are better served by the V-Class van, which takes up to ten bags. Child seats are fitted on request. AirportsTransfers.ch can also book your return to Geneva Airport, timed to your flight with a margin for the A8.
