Nyon is around half an hour from the terminal by motorway, Morges a little further and Lausanne about 61 km (around 45 minutes), so visitors can easily fit several meetings into one day with a chauffeur from AirportsTransfers.ch.

Why La Côte attracts organisations
The region combines a lakeside setting, a short hop to an international airport and two cities, and a lower-key atmosphere than central Geneva. Over recent decades, many multinational companies have placed regional or global headquarters here, often in modern office buildings and business parks close to motorway exits. Nyon is the home of UEFA, European football's governing body, and Gland hosts major international conservation organisations. Lausanne, at the eastern end, is known as an Olympic capital, with the International Olympic Committee and many sports federations. Between the towns, the vineyards of La Côte slope down to the lake, giving visiting executives an attractive view between meetings. Commodity traders, consumer goods companies, life sciences and technology firms are all represented along the shore, which is why the region is busy with business travellers year-round.
Nyon, Gland, Rolle and Morges
Nyon is the largest of the lakeside towns between the two cities, with a Roman past, a white-towered castle overlooking the lake, and a compact old town with restaurants suited to a working lunch. Gland, next door, is smaller and more residential, with organisations housed in buildings on the edge of town. Rolle sits on a narrow strip between vineyards and the water, with a lakeside castle and a small island offshore. Morges, closer to Lausanne, has a castle, a pretty harbour and a lively high street. Business parks around these towns are typically reached via the motorway exits rather than the lakeside road; give your driver the exact company address and building number, as several companies may share a campus.
Getting there from Geneva Airport
From the airport, the A1 motorway runs north-east along the lake towards Lausanne. Outside rush hour, the journey is quick and straightforward. On weekday mornings, however, traffic heading into Lausanne and out of Geneva can build significantly, and the evening return towards Geneva is often slow. If you have a morning meeting in Nyon or Rolle, an early landing and a direct transfer is usually the most reliable option. The train also serves the main towns along the lake, but company campuses are often some distance from the station, making a car more practical when you carry a laptop bag and luggage, or when you have a flight to catch straight after the meeting.
Organising a day of meetings
Visitors often schedule several meetings across La Côte in a single day: an auditor visiting two sites, a consultant meeting different clients, or an executive visiting a subsidiary and then a supplier. A chauffeur by the hour, with a two-hour minimum, waits between appointments and adapts to over-running meetings. For a team of colleagues, a Van (Mercedes V-Class, up to seven passengers) keeps everyone together and allows a debrief on the road. For a single executive, a First Class Sedan (Mercedes S-Class) offers a quiet workspace. Companies receive invoices per journey, which helps with allocating costs to projects or clients.
After hours on La Côte
Meetings on La Côte can be combined with time in the region. The vineyard villages above the lake produce mainly white wines from the Chasselas grape, and wine cellars welcome visitors for tastings. Nyon's lakefront and Morges' harbour are pleasant for an evening walk, and in spring Morges is known for colourful tulip displays in its lakeside park. Many visitors choose to stay in Geneva or Lausanne and commute, but small hotels in the lakeside towns offer a quieter base. The Jura foothills, just above the vineyards, provide walks with wide views over the lake to the Alps.
